About Us
Confetti Act is a brand new company based in the vibrant city of Portsmouth.
We are a group of seven university students with a passion for making theatre an important part of education and development for young people.
Increasingly, funding for theatre is getting stripped back for young people across the country so we want to bring the joy and inspiration of theatre and drama to young people who may not otherwise be able to experience it.
We are working very closely with the Active Communities Network and the Guildhall Studio to provide the best possible experience for the young people in our care.

Our Mission
As time passes, more of the creative arts are getting withdrawn from the curriculum and having funding cut. Our aim is to highlight the national need for theatre in education and development in young people. We don't want to do this by protesting but by working with the young people who are missing out and giving them the experience they deserve.
Our Artistic Director's Vision
Our company aims to work with students aged11–14 who come from underprivileged backgrounds and don’t have a chance to try performing arts. Our vision is to invite them to a series of workshops where they will learn new things relating to theatre, such as script writing, devising, comedy and dance. These workshops will be led by the whole company, each leading a different week. At the end of the series of workshops, there will be a final ‘performance’ style event where the students will showcase what they have achieved over the weeks. We will also invite their friends/teachers/family to sit in a cabaret-style audience where they can enjoy their work.
